Who in the funky hell is Chris McElhinney? He’s the guy who makes an appearance in net when Miikka Kiprusoff has six pucks in his rectum.
The Blackhawks made a huge statement in the first of the six-game Circus Trip by farting all over the Flames with five goals in the second period for a 7-1 victory in Calgary. It’s the ‘Hawks sixth straight regular-season victory against the Flames and fifth straight win overall. If you’re scoring at home, that makes 13 goals against Calgary in two games this season. Suck it.

Chris Kuc is reporting the Blackhawks will announce extensions for Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith before the ‘Hawks leave for their Circus Trip.
This has been a big story around the NHL since the end of last season. Many have said there’s no chance the ‘Hawks would be able to sign all three. Lesson to all you naysayers: Never underestimate a Bowman.
More to come as the news trickles in.
Windy City Hockey photoshoped a great picture relating to the Cap-ocalypse.

Jonathan Toews heard a screaming girl behind him, and he flicked a no-look pass in that direction possibly out of fright. Actually, it was a wide-open Brent Seabrook, who scored his second OT goal of the season to beat the San Jose Sharks 4-3.
“I didn’t see (Seabrook) but I just heard him screaming like a girl almost, so I knew it was him and he was wide open,” Toews told the Trib after the game.
The goal was the third unanswered tally for the Blackhawks, who rallied from a 3-1 deficit early in the second period and won their seventh straight [...]
Three games. Three shootouts. We didn’t need Ms. Cleo to tell us this would happen again. Fortunately, this one allows me to get to bed before 3 a.m.
Patrick Sharp – yes, THAT Patrick Sharp — scored in the third round of the pissing contest to give the ‘Hawks a victory and the extra point against the Big Falling Snow Pile. I’ve been on his ass lately for disappearing at times, so it was nice to see him put home the winner — for me and him.
It’s starting to become so normal, but the play of Patrick Kane continues to amaze [...]
I’m feeling a mixture of emotions right now. I am very happy Dave Bolland had surgery to repair the herniated disc that’s been bothering him since last season. However, I am very upset to be losing our No. 2 center for a good portion of the season.
As HockeeNight and myself discussed on Sunday’s PUCKCAST, a decision needed to be made one way or another — either we continue to shoot him up with cortisone so he can play, go on a week-to-week basis depending on the pain, or shelve him for a chunk of the season, but get him fully [...]
