Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook will represent Canada in the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.
Toews and Keith are no real shock, but the addition of Seabrook comes as a mild surprise. Steve Yzerman constantly spoke highly of Toews, and Keith was a lock. Congrats to Seabrook.
I know there are a lot of ‘Hawks [...]

Trap game (n.) — Contest against lesser opponent sandwiched between two important games versus quality competition which favored team is expected to win but often loses
I hate being right. I knew it. I f-ing knew, and that’s why the Blackhawks’ 5-4 loss to Dallas last night especially chaps my ass.
If Cristobal Huetever faces the Stars again while [...]

Yeah, I’m talking about John Madden. He’s swell. Actually, it’s a song. I stole the line. Shoot me.
The last time these two teams met Oct. 17th, Dallas had Blackhawks fans showing Cristobal Huet the proverbial door. Huet played like dogshit, giving up four questionable goals and driving me to drink enough alcohol to kill the [...]

I’ve made no secret about my non-sexual crush on John Madden. I love him. He does everything right and deceives people into forgetting about him just because he doesn’t light up the score sheet.

I can’t remember the last time the ‘Hawks looked that good and lost. They’ve played much, much worse and won games I never would have expected they could. One might believe it to be a mystery.
Well, not quite. The Blackhawks outshot the Sharks 47-14 in last night’s 3-2 loss, but special teams sucked in every [...]

There are few things more satisfying than sitting in the United Center and hearing “Detroit sucks!” chants when they’re actually justified. The Communists DID indeed suck tonight, and the Blackhawks put together a great victory against a team depleted by injury.
But while beating the Red Wings is always sweet, this game was no statement against [...]

Chris Kuc is reporting Antti Niemi will get the start in net and defensman Niklas Hjalmarsson will sit tonight against the Boston Bruins.
Coach Q said the start for Niemi is to help balance the load with Cristobal Huet as the Blackhawks will face Detroit and Nashville twice with San Jose tossed in there over the [...]
