The Blackhawks had themselves a very busy and newsworthy morning skate today. Â There are a lot of positives coming out of Hawks camp. Â First and foremost, 2nd line center Marcus Kruger will return to the ice tomorrow versus the Devils. Â This is good for many reasons, but the most important one is that we should not have to see Brendan Morrison again. Â Steve Montador, who has been cleared for contact will make the trip to New Jersey and could be good to go. Â Captain Jonathan Toews skated for his 7th straight day which is very encouraging, but still has not been cleared for contact. Â Both Andrew Brunette and Viktor Stalberg sat out today’s practice but both will play tomorrow. Â The only new injury to pop up is now Ray Emery is listed as day to day with an upper body injury. Â It is being reported as nothing serious but the Blackhawks have already recalled Carter Hutton up from Rockford.
