Usually if a player only plays in 14 total games I would put him the “incomplete” category, but not going to do this with Brendan Morrison.  Morrison was brought in to contribute to a team that was primed to make a deep playoff run.  He was supposed to add a veteran presence and stabilize the center position.  My first ever article for Blackhawk Up was about the acquisition of Morrison and how I thought it was a decent pickup.  None of this happened.  It was obvious from the beginning that Morrison was not a “Q guy” and he had a hard time finding the ice.  His play didn’t warrant being in the lineup so Stan Bowman traded for just another plate at the pressbox buffet.  If Brian Connelly, who was shipped to Calgary for Morrison, ever makes the NHL and contributes in any way this will go down as a horrible trade.  The only thing saving Morrsion from a F is that he was able to do something in the playoffs that Patrick Kane, Viktor Stalberg and Dave Bolland were unable to do and that was score a goal.  If Morrison had played liked he did in the playoffs when he first got here, he would have played more than just 11 games.
