On This Date in Chicago Blackhawks History,
On this date in 1982 Steve Larmer collected his first career hat trick against the Minnesota North Stars. Larmer would go on to collect 9 hat tricks in his long Chicago Blackhawks career. Larmer collected 406 of his 441 career goals in a Blackahawks jersey. Unfortunately his only Stanley Cup came with the Mark Messier Guarantee NY Rangers team instead of a Hawks jersey even though he played on one of the best Blackhawk lines of all-time along side Denis Savard and Al Secord.
Even though he was a 6th round draft selection, Larmer ended his career third in Blackhawks history in goals scored and fourth in total points. One of the most consistent scorers in Blackahawks history and a fan favorite, got his first hat trick on this date 30 years ago today.
END THE LOCKOUT!!!
