#41-No Current Chicago Blackhawk is assigned jersey #41
Former #41 in Blackhawks history
1. Mike McNeill- 1991 McNeill played 23 games with the Blackhawks scoring 2 goals and 2 assists. His career of 63 games included stops with the Edmonton Oilers and the Quebec Nordiques with 5 career goals and 11 assists.
2. Jocelyn Thibault-1999-2004 Thibault was the man who replaced Patrick Roy in Montreal, but his best seasons were with the Blackhawks. Thibault ranks fourth all-time in goalie wins in franchise history sitting only behind Tony Esposito, Glenn Hall, and Ed Belfour. Thibault Blackhawks totals are 137-142-44 with 2.63 Goals against average. He had stops with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres before his career came to an end. Here is a video of Thibault getting sprayed with some shenanigans afterwards it’s just amazing how the game has changed in just 13 short years.
3. Niklas Hjalmarsson-2008 In the hammers first season with the Hawks he wore #41 before switching to his familiar #4. Hjalmarsson has been part of the core unit of two Stanley Cup champions. He could have been a San Jose Shark after the 2010 season, but management chose Hjalmarsson over Antti Niemi and after some slip in his play he returned to form to help lead the Hawks to a 2nd cup in 4 seasons.
