Tonight the Chicago Blackhawks made their return to the United Center for the Training camp festival scrimmage. The scrimmage was kicked off with a speech from Jonathan Toews. The scrimmage featured the White team versus the Red team. The White team featured Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Corey Crawford, and Finnish prospect Teuvo Tervainen. The Red team featured Johnny Oduya, Nick Leddy, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Patrick Sharp, and Nikolai Khabibulin.

The Red jumped out to the early lead with a goal from the Jimmy Hayes. Hayes added to already impressive camp with that goal. Kane would tie the game at 1 for the White team. Bryan Bickell would put the White team up 2-1 and they never looked back. The White team would go onto win 5-2 over Red.
Teuvo Tervainen looked impressive again scoring another goal. The puck seems to finding him on the ice. The plan is for the Blackhawks to play Tervainen in two preseason games and then send him back to Finland. Jeremy Morin also made an impact with a goal of his own for the Red team. 2013 draft pick Ryan Stanton also added a goal for the white team. Other notes out of the Training camp festival, Andrew Shaw and Kyle Beach got into each other faces on the ice and needed to be separated. The festival ended with a shootout between White and Red. Annti Raanta was in net for the White team. He stopped shots from Sharp, Brandon Saad, Andrew Shaw, and Leddy. The White won without a goal from Kane. Tervainen and Bickell provided both goals for White.
Lastly Coach Q was impressed with the goalie play for Kent Simpson.
Patrick Kane stickhandles like a maniac and is stopped… by Kent Simpson. #Blackhawks
