#2: Anaheim Ducks
The Anaheim Ducks caused the Blackhawks lots of trouble in 2013, and they would love to do the same the second time around. In a regular season dominated by the Blackhawks, Anaheim swept their season series, winning all three games. Anaheim quietly sat in the shadows of the West, and cruised to the playoffs as the second seed. They were shockingly eliminated in the first round by Detroit, leaving lots on the table. However, this year is the final chapter in the legendary career of forward Teemu Selanne, so every game counts. Losing Bobby Ryan is a big blow, but with increased production from Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, paired with a largely underrated defensive core, the Ducks could be a dark horse.
The ‘Hawks and Ducks face off 3 times this year; December 6th, January 17th, and February 5th. Keep an eye out for a first or second-round playoff matchup between the two clubs.
