The game was totally lopsided and could have easily been 9-1 Blackhawks if it wasn’t for the great effort by Ryan Miller. The Hawks held on to a 2-1 win on Saturday night but it wouldn’t have been a regulation win if it wasn’t for this pass from Patrick Sharp and shot by Patrick Kane.
Patrick Kane buried a great pass by Sharp (on his 600th NHL appearance) that ended up being the difference between a regulation victory and an overtime. Kane now has 4 goals 5 games into the young season. Kane hasn’t been noticeable just on the offensive end, but Kane’s back-checking has been super in key times of every game so far this year. It’s great that he’s turning into a complete player.
The offense has been putting tons of shots on net early into the season, but games against the Tampa Bay Lightning and Buffalo Sabres have been in doubt late in the game due to some great goal tending from the opponents. If the Hawks keep putting this many pucks on net, they will start finding the back of it just like Kane did on Saturday night!
Great pass and finish on this goal!
