2. There are some bright spots for this squad. Tomas Fleischmann and Brad Boyes have provided the punch for this offense and though they are not young, budding prospects, they are tough veterans who don’t take a shift off. You won’t be watching this game for offensive flash from the Panthers but there will be some hustle plays that hockey fans will appreciate.

1. The comeback. Tim Thomas is back in the NHL and though he wasn’t in net for his Boston Bruins in last year’s Stanley Cup, it is still exciting to see the ‘Hawks go up against a very talented goalie. Thomas has looked good since his absence and being in Florida may keep him out of the limelight, but I know I am not the only one waiting for an even better mustache to come about.
