Hail to the Hawks! Chicago Blackhawks Recognized by President Obama for Stanley Cup Championship

On Monday, November 4th, the Chicago Blackhawks visited the White House, with the Stanley Cup, and were recognized by President Barack Obama.

In a short speech, President Obama praised the Hawks, congratulated the Hawks, poked fun at Corey Crawford’s history with giving speeches, highlighted the Cubs’ elongated futility, and was honored with a white #13(commemorating the year, for those you who may not know) Indian Head sweater.

All in all, it was a classy honorable recognition, as well as a moment of pride for Hawks fans to be able to see their favorite team receive the highest possible form of National recognition.

Let’s do it again, next year!
