Three Dallas Stars To Watch Out For Tonight

The Chicago Blackhawks travel this Saturday to the hockey hot bed that is Dallas Texas.  As the saying goes everything is bigger in Texas. This offseason the Stars went for the big moves. They traded veteran Loui Eriksson to the Boston Bruins. In return the Dallas received two very important players in return.  Here are the Dallas Stars three players to watch:

1. Tyler Seguin: Seguin was the big prize in the Loui Ericksson trade. Seguin has been a immense talent his entire career, however his game has not reflected his talent. Seguin is always the subject of offseason controversy because of his party habits. This season Seguin has recorded: 6 goals and 9 assists good for 15 points. In the lockout shorted year last season, Seguin scored 16 goals and had 16 assists. If Dallas is to stop the red hot Blackhawks Seguin needs a big game.

2. Rich Peverley: The second piece in the Loui Ericksson trade was Rich Peverley. Peverley has not been a huge point threat throughout his career, as of late he has come on for the Stars. Last season Peverley put up 6 goals and 12 assists in a lockout shortened year. Peverley sunk his former team the Boston Bruins with a shootout goal against Tuuka Raask. This season Peverley has 3 goals and 5 assists this season.

3. Kari Lehtonen: The goalie is a very important piece to success against the Blackhawks. As of late goalies have not had much luck. In the last 5 games the Blackhawks have scored 22 goals and put up a record of 4-0-1. Lehtonen will need to get off to a good start against the Blackhawks to gain confidence early. Lehtonen is 7-2-2 on the season with a 2.02 goals against and 93.4% save percentage.

Honorable mention- Jamie Benn: Benn is coming off a season where he had 33 points in 41 games (12 goals and 29 assists). This season he has put up 6 goals and 9 assists on the season.

The Stars for the season are 8-6-2, that is good for 5th in the Central Division. They have 44 goals for which is good for 17 and 47 goals against which good for 22nd.

The Dallas Stars take on the Chicago Blackhawks this saturday at 7pm.
