It would be pretty hard to justify not putting Patrick Sharp as the First Star of the week, as he took Third Star of the week for the entire league on Monday. Sharp was at it again during the last three games, following up a strong Week 5 with even more offense. Sharp was the king of passing in the last week, putting up six assists. Sharp was making all the right moves in the last seven days, from driving wide, to setting up in the zone, and providing a good first pass on the breakout. His dish to Marian Hossa in Dallas was one of his prettiest, spinning off a defender and then chipping it ahead, sending his fellow winger in alone for a goal. Dallas turned out to be a very good place for #10, as he picked up four assists against the Stars on Saturday night. Sharp added a highlight-reel goal against the Jets, to bring his point total for the week to 7. Sharp was a part of the new-look first line, alongside Jonathan Toews and Hossa, that turned out to be very dangerous all week. Sharp is on his way to a career year, and if this keeps up, the 34-year old might have to make room on a finger for another ring.

The Blackhawks have the beginning of the week off, before taking on three Western Conference rivals: the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday, Nashville Predators on Friday, and San Jose Sharks on Sunday.
