After a lot of home games to start out the season, the Chicago Blackhawks head off on their annual circus road trip. The Blackhawks will not play another game in the month of November at the United Center. The Hawks are usually a very good road team and this is a big trip for the hawks will be a huge one facing a lot of teams that are playing good hockey right now.
The trip starts out with the biggest surprise of the season the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night. The Avs are currently 2 points behind the Blackhawks in the standings and new coach Patrick Roy has the young Avalanche playing at a high level. They struggled a bit this past week, but don’t forget the Avalanche were the ones that ended the Hawks point streak to start the season in Colorado last season.
The Blackhawks head to Winnipeg on Thursday night to face the Jets in Jonathan Toews hometown for the 2nd time this season. The Blackhawks easily defeated the Jets last time they played in Winnipeg 5-1 and have beaten the Jets twice this season by a combined score of 9-2.
The Hawks end the week with their biggest rival in the Western Conference the Vancouver Canucks. It may not be the same without Dave Bolland on the roster, but they are still hated by many Blackhawks fans. Vancouver is under new managment and have struggled a bit to start the season and are currently in 5th place in the Pacific Division. You can hear the announcers now that you can throw out the record when these two get together.
Three games this week which game are you looking forward to the most? The new divisional rivals or the biggest rival of all?
