The circus trip continues for the Hawks this week and throw in some Thanksgiving desserts. The Hawks are already 2-1 on the trip with two consecutive wins after a tough loss to start off the trip in Colorado.
The Hawks travel to a city where they have never fared too well on Monday night in Edmonton. The Oilers even when they are bad seem to give the Hawks fits especially in Edmonton. The Oilers are really dreadful this season and are dead last in the Pacific Division which is totally unexpected when many thought this young team would be on the brink of a playoff spot this year.
On Wednesday night the Hawks travel to another house of horrors the Saddledome in Calgary. After a surprising start by the Flames, Calgary has fallen back to where people thought they would be, down towards the bottom of the Pacific Division. The Hawks don’t get blown out a lot in Calgary like they have in Edmonton, but they never play their best hockey in Western Canada.
Black Friday brings lots of shoppers to the malls and retail outlets and it will bring the Blackhawks back to America when they face the Dallas Stars for the second time this season. The Hawks easily handled the Stars in Dallas the first time they met 5-2 and haven’t played a tight game with them since their early season overtime game in January of 2013 right after the lockout. The puck finds the back of the net a lot for the Hawks in Dallas and hopefully this continues Friday night.
The schedule for the Hawks in the month of November concludes as well as the circus trip in Phoenix on Saturday night. The Coyotes are one of the biggest surprises of the season and they have been playing good hockey while currently sit in 4th place in the hotly contested Pacific Division of the Western Conference. The Hawks will have a strong following in Phoenix and will be looking for a good end to the trip.
What game are you looking forward to the most this week on the road?
