Duncan Keith had himself a week to remember, not only in his native defensive zone, but offensively as well. Keith finally earned recognition against the Canucks, where announcers for both teams sang his praises after dominating play by the 30-year old. More than once in the game, Keith was all over any opposing player when they stepped in his vicinity, and an effective body or stick-check easily took care of them. Keith then did a good job of advancing the puck, and finished the game with an assist. Adding two on Monday night, Keith has advanced his point streak to four games, with five assists in that span. Keith’s 19 helpers put him in first among NHL defenseman, and 9th overall. In a year where Brent Seabrook had most of the spotlight early, Keith has finally got the appreciation he has deserved, as he is one of the most consistent Blackhawks on any night.
