Friday night’s game had a few points of interest. Crow picked up his 100th win as a Blackhawk, and boy did he earn it. Keith continued his point streak, while Kaner had his ended.
This play was a beauty. Lehtonen wasn’t over sliding to play this puck, so Sharp did a good job deflecting that puck up and over him. Keith did exactly what he should be doing which is getting the puck to the net, something the Blackhawks were seemingly reluctant to do last night. This goal would be the Blackhawks’ loan tally, but it was a vital goal since it tied it up 1-1.
Sharp kept it simple with a nice backhand-forehand move. The key was the elevation he got. We saw a few attempts from other Hawks that could have gone in if they would have just gotten the puck off the ice.
Finally, Ben Smith would skate in and save the day with a sweet wrister that he placed right under the crossbar.
