The Blackhawks would strike first in this tilt with the Phoenix Coyotes.  Marian Hossa gets open on the power play and puts a shot on net that Patrick Kane tips in past Mike Smith.  After being kept off the score sheet against Dallas, Kaner snags a couple of points against the Coyotes.

Andrew Shaw pushes his way through  two defensemen and just barely sneaks his shot past Smith.  This is the type of goal I love seeing Smith miss.  This one should have been a save, but he opted to try and blocker it instead of just get a pad on it.  Thanks to Smith’s error the Blackhawks went up 2-0.

Hjalmarsson steps in on this play and gets a great look, and he finds the back of the net putting the Blackhawks up 3-0

A great feed from Kruger leads to the Bollig goal.  Kruger is showing some great vision and skill this season.  I’m glad the Hawks came out firing on all cylinders in the third.  Bollig’s goal would put the Blackhawks up 4-2.

Hossa puts the icing on the cake with the empty netter.  The Blackhawks came out to finish off the Coyotes in the third and they did just that.  The final score was 5-2.
