24. Columbus Blue Jackets 15-17-4: The Blue Jackets were dealt a crushing blow this week. They lost Marian Gaborik to a broken collarbone. Gaborik had been sidelined with a right knee injury earlier this season. The Blue Jackets are 5-4-1 in their last ten games.

23: Ottawa Senators 14-17-7: The Senators are huge disappointment this season.  Craig Anderson has given up a 3.42 goals against this season. Last season, Anderson gave up a 1.69 goals against and helped the Senators into the playoffs.

22. Carolina Hurricanes 14-14-8: Jeff Skinner has 12 goals and 9 assists on the season. He is a welcome surprise to the Hurricanes. Skinner had 8 goals in December. He seems to be scoring when the games is on the line. They are 4-3-3 in their last ten games.

21. The Philadelphia Flyers 16-16-4: After struggling out the gates, the Flyers have gotten to respectability.  They are starting to deal with some injuries: Steve Downie will be out 7-10 days with an upper body injury. Vincent Lecavalier came back earlier than expected from his non-displaced back facture.

20: New Jersey Devils 15-15-7: Jaromir Jagr continues to re-write the record books. He tied Mark Messier with 694 goals. They are 4-4-2 in their last ten games. The Devils are third in their division.
