Blackhawks 1-2  –  Patrick Kane (24) Slapshot – ASST: Nick Leddy (15), Patrick Sharp (26)

Kane puts the Blackhawks on the board in the final minute of the game. With the extra attacker on the ice, the puck would find its way to a wide open Kane who would break Minnesota’s shutout bid.  Unfortunately, this would be the highlight of the game for the Blackhawks.

FINAL SCORE: The Chicago Blackhawks 1  –  The Minnesota Wild 2

Blackhawks 1-0  –  Marian Hossa (21) Tip-in – ASST: Jonathan Toews (32), Johnny Oduya (9)

Marian Hossa went to the front of the net and Toews made sure to get the puck to him.

Blackhawks 2-0  –  Andrew Shaw (14) Backhand shot – ASST: Patrick Kane (34), Brandon Saad (20)

Saad drives hard to the net and Shaw cleans up a loose puck.  The Blackhawks are rewarded for driving hard to the net; something we didn’t see much of against the Wild.

Blackhawks 3-2  – PPG – Patrick Sharp (26) Slapshot – ASST: Duncan Keith (43), Patrick Kane (35)

Patrick Sharp blows one by Jonas Gustavsson on the power play.  The Hawks had traffic in front of the net, and it looks like the Wings defender makes some contact with the goalie.

Blackhawks 4-4  –  Marcus Kruger (5) Wrist shot – ASST: NONE

Markus Kruger, no the Blackhawks as a whole, need to write Brendan Smith a thank you card.  Smith seems to love turning the puck over and gifting the Hawks with goals.  Kruger rings this shot off the iron and in.  I thought this was the best goal of the back-to-back, even beating out Kane’s goal.

FINAL SCORE:  The Chicago Blackhawks 4  –  The Detroit Red Wings 5 (SO)
