Brent Seabrook Is Suspended For 3 Games

The question wasn’t if but how many games would Brent Seabrook be suspended after his hit to David Backes head in the late stages of the third period which in the end was the determining factor in the third period come from behind win for the St. Louis Blues.

For those of you that forget Seabrook had been hit pretty similarly

Now Seabrook will be missing the next  games due to the Backes hit, here is the hit one more time from yesterday afternoon

The early guess is that Sheldon Brookbank will be in the lineup on Monday night to replace Seabrook during his suspension.  Last season Brookbank replaced Duncan Keith in Game #4 of the Western Conference series against the LA Kings after Duncan Keith’s stick to the face of Jeff Carter.

The Blackhawks head home and need to start playing Chicago Blackhawks hockey! When they try to play nasty it never turns out good in the end.

In the end it’s Seabrook suspended for 3 games for this hit GIF by Joe Kremel of BlackhawkUp.com feed from nhl.com and nbc.GIF by Joe Kremel of BlackhawkUp.com feed from nhl.com and nbc.
