Season Review: Because he is still young, Marcus Kruger has yet to reach his full potential, and has yet to show me that he can be a threat offensively. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville loves the defense that he provides to the team as a forward. I believe that he will remain a mainstay in the Blackhawks lineup. Hopefully though, he can work on his offensive game. I expect him to get much better as he develops his skills.

His blocked shot numbers really impress me. It shows that he is a competitor who really wants to win.

With only one year left on his contract, he could end up being a trade piece in the offseason, unless his defensive prowess makes him too valuable.

I have to score him even, because although I am unsatisfied with his offensive abilities, his defense is an important part of this teams success.

He plays short handed as well as anyone on the team. His two way play is outstanding. He allows the third/forth line to shut down opponents 1st line and give our first line a reprieve. Strong B.

Kruger does excellent work on the PK each year and was on a solid 4th line most of the season. Thanks for your analysis!! Anywhere from B+ to C range works for him
