Goulet was a scorer period.  Goulet thought he was going to be a Quebec Nordique player for his entire career, but in 1990 with the team starting to rebuild they set Goulet to Chicago and he was part of a special team with Chicago in 1992. The Stanley Cup Finals reaching team sure could score with Steve Larmer, Jeremy Roenick, Dirk Graham, and Michel Goulet on the roster just to name a few of the greats on that team.

Goulet scored his 500th career goal with the Blackhawks and although he wasn’t a point a game player when he arrived in Chicago he was still a very productive player for Mike Keenan and the Blackhawks.  Goulet had 3 20 goal season with the Blackhawks in his 3 full seasons and probably would have had a fourth if he hadn’t suffered a career ending injury in Montreal in the 1993-1994.

Goulet was elected in 1998 to the Hockey Hall of Fame and if it wasn’t for his injury he would be even higher in the All-time rankings.  Goulet was at the tale end of his career but he still could score and he almost got to 100 career goals with the Hawks during his short stay. Here is a look at one of his goals in his Blackhawks career.

What is your biggest memory of Goulet’s time in Chicago? What do you think of his ranking? Too High, Too Low or shouldn’t have made the final cut?
