We had so much fun doing our Countdown to Faceoff series last season that we decided to do it again.  In case you’re new to the series, we’ll do a roster preview as we count down the days until the Chicago Blackhawks  October 9th season opener against the Dallas Stars.

As the case with most of the 70’s, #73 is again a total wasteland for finding a Blackhawk that has ever worn the number so today we will take a look at the Blackhawks all-time Hat Trick Leaders in franchise history.

Bobby Hull-28

Stan Mikita-16

Denis Savard-11

Steve Larmer-9

Doug Bentley-8

Jim Pappin-7

Al Secord-6

Jeremy Roenick-6

Tony Amonte-6

Eric Daze-6

Grant Mulvey-5

Bill Mosienko-5

Max Bentley-5

Pit Martin-5

Ken Wharram-5

Steve Thomas-4

Troy Murray-4

Patrick Sharp-4

I don’t have a playoff list, but Patrick Kane’s only 2 hat tricks have come during the playoffs. The first one against Vancouver in 2009 to send the Hawks to the Conference Finals for the first time since 1995.
The second one sending the Hawks to the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals

Be on the lookout for our Countdown to Faceoff series as we continue to work our way to the season opener on October 9th. We’re 73 days from the season opener.  Is it October yet???
