Vancouver Canucks Vs Chicago Blackhawks: TV Listings, Predictions, & More

The Chicago Blackhawks are home again tonight at the United Center to host the Vancouver Canucks, and for both teams involved tonight’s two points are huge in each teams playoffs hopes and aspirations.

The Chicago Blackhawks are 7-3 in their last 10 games which seems unlikely after a bad stretch of games before winning on back to back games against the Winnipeg Jets and LA Kings. The Hawks are still looking for offense on most nights, but it was nice to see a couple soft goals get past Jonathan Quick after what seemed like a month of going against hot goalie after hot goalie. The Hawks still are looking for some balance with the bottom 2 lines barely cracking the scoresheet.

The Blackhawks goalies have been their strength for most of the season no matter who’s been in net. Corey Crawford is the #1 goalie and will be in net for the playoffs, but Antti Raanta and Lemont Native Scott Darling have done great in relief all season long for Crawford and it’s been one of the biggest areas of strength for the Blackhawks and one that the Hawks will be counting on tonight for 2 points.

The Canucks are one of the bigger surprises of the season especially after failing to make the playoffs last season, not many expected to see them in the middle of the Pacific Division race.  The Canucks have hit some bad patches this season and right when you expect them to free fall right out of the playoff picture they get hot again.

The Canucks are on a killer road trip right now, one which experts didn’t expect them to win one game but they have already won their first two games on the trip including and overtime win in Nashville and now they arrive in Chicago in a game where both teams are fighting for points. Here is the viewing information for tonight’s game

On Monday night’s prediction, I did get the four goals correct but missed on the goal scorers, so I feel like I’m getting closer to getting my prediction hat on correctly. Tonight I foresee another tight game without a lot of goals so I’m predicting a 3-2 Hawks win with Antoine Vermette and Patrick Sharp picking up two of the goals and a Teuvo Teravainen assist thrown in just for fun.
