Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! It’s that time of year that if you haven’t filed your taxes you better find an accountant and get it done quick like!

Anyways back to the topic on hand, the Chicago Blackhawks lost a tough one on a wacky deflected goal in overtime in Game #1, but they played their game except for putting pucks into the net and it was all without their best defenseman Duncan Keith so everyone feels pretty happy even though the scoreboard reads St. Louis 1 Chicago 0 when looking at the series.

The Chicago Blackhawks now will have to put their nose down and do some of the dirty things like put their butts in front of Brian Elliott or crash the net and make things tough bouncing on rebounds.

The biggest worry heading into the playoffs had to be the defense, but they went 60 minutes without giving up a goal and didn’t really look out of position very much like they did during the regular season.

The best part of the game had to be the play of Corey Crawford who looked fundamentally strong and didn’t let anything remotely soft in until the Game winning overtime goal which really wasn’t his fault at all.  Hopefully good Crawford will be here for the entire playoff series.
