Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks led then trailed then led again last night in the third period, and in the end they skated away with a 5-3 victory over the Dallas Stars.

The Chicago Blackhawks were staring down another third period collapse which has been the norm since the calendar turned to 2017, but thankfully Patrick Kane scored less than a minute after Tyler Seguin had given the Dallas Stars a third period lead.

I’m not sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing that the Hawks made a comeback on Saturday night. Of course, I think this is a good thing because they picked up 2 more points on their march to another playoff appearance, but they also continued to struggle holding a third period lead.

The one thing the Hawks could do for years has been holding third period lead which is crucial when the calendar turns to April and May.  The Chicago Blackhawks need to figure out this bug a boo real quick like.

A couple of milestones were achieved last night.  Patrick Kane scored his 268th career goal with the Blackhawks passing Jeremy Roenick, and Corey Crawford won his 202nd career game which broke the tie he was in with Ed Belfour.   Congrats to both of the Hawks as they keep climbing up the Chicago Blackhawks All-Time lists.
