Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fan! The Chicago Blackhawks like every other team so far in the NHL, lost their first game back from the bye week last night 3-1 to the Edmonton Oilers.

All I have to say is thanks a lot stupid bye week.  I guess it’s good for the players to get away from hockey for a week in the middle of the winter, but the Chicago Blackhawks were playing some really good hockey before the break.

That being said, last night was a nice night to be in the stands if you were up to seeing milestones in Blackhawks franchise history.  The only sad part about players hitting milestones is that it means the players are getting older and this run is at best in the middle of its destination.

The first milestone was Brent Seabrook getting to skate in his 900th game with the Chicago Blackhawks.  Seabrook became only the 7th Blackhawks player to ever play in 900 games with the organization.  If Duncan Keith stays healthy he will join this list this season as well.

The other milestone hit last night was Jonathan Toews picking up an assist last night on Richard Panik‘s goal which was the only goal for the Blackhawks last night.  The assist gave Toews his 600th career point.  Toews became the 9th Blackhawks legend to ever collect 600 points in a Chicago Blackhawks uniform.
