The Chicago Blackhawks visit the Minnesota Wild tonight in a great matchup of the top 2 teams in the Central Division.

The Chicago Blackhawks have been playing some fantastic hockey as of late if you throw out the first game after the bye week which they still outshot the Edmonton Oilers by a wide margin.

The Chicago Blackhawks youth has been a real key to the Hawks game becoming a scary proposition for the rest of the NHL.

Nick Schmaltz has been a big reason the Jonathan Toews game has turned around, and the Hawks new top line has been getting tons of chances and putting up points game in and game out.  Richard Panik could have had a 4 point night on Sunday if he could have hit the net, but either way that line is playing great.

The other player that has filled a role is Ryan Hartman.  Hartman has been described for a few years now as a more offensive Andrew Shaw type of player, and that’s exactly the role his is filling.  Hartman made a Patrick Kane kind of play to score the opening goal of the game Sunday night, and hopefully he can continue to make plays without taking silly penalties

The one thing to look for in a week long stretch of milestones will be if the Hawks can pick a win which would be Joel Quenneville‘s 400th career win.  Here are the listings for tonight’s Central Division Matchup!
