Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks lost last night to the Anaheim Ducks and today they make their final trip to Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

The Chicago Blackhawks lost last night to the Anaheim Ducks just like they did after their bye week against the Edmonton Oilers. The good thing is that in both games they out shot their opposition, they just couldn’t get any pucks in the net on either night.

The Chicago Blackhawks now travel to Detroit to face a Red Wings team that will be missing the playoffs for the first time since 1990.

Not only will the Red Wings miss the playoffs, but this is the last season for Joe Louis Arena which has been the Red Wings home since 1979.  The Chicago Blackhawks have had some very bad days in the Joe well actually some really bad days, but there were some really good times too.

The best of days had to be Game #6 of the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs, and it all started with the Red Wings leaving

Michal Handzus

alone out in front for a game tying third period goal.

It ended with a

Michael Frolik

penalty shot that sealed the deal on the Hawks win that forced a Game #7 in Chicago.

It was a great series for two old rivals that would no longer be in the same Conference after that series

, so after years of dominating the Chicago Blackhawks, the Hawks had the last laugh.

Tonight is the last visit to the Joe, and hopefully the Hawks leave with one last win!
