Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Minnesota Wild on Sunday afternoon 4-2 even though the Wild out played them for long stretches in the game.

The Chicago Blackhawks took another step closer to first place in the Central Division with another victory over the Minnesota Wild.  The Hawks have seemed to have their number… Still this year.

Before the game it was announced that the Chicago Blackhawks had signed John Hayden to his entry level contract which was a big question mark for fans with many worried that he would pull a Kevin Hayes and wait for free agency in August.

So with Hayden signed, many thought he would just go to Rockford, but after the game Joel Quenneville announced that Hayden will be joining the Blackhawks and will be playing right away.

That says a lot of how high the Hawks think of Hayden who they did try to sign in this summer, but he opted to play his senior season.  He’s a big body forward that the Hawks just really don’t have on the roster, and haven’t had since Bryan Bickell was playing well in 2013.

Who knows what it will do to the Hawks rolling 4 lines or if it’s just to give him a taste of the NHL before sending him down to Rockford after a game or two.
