Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- National Audience

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks travel to the Steel City to face-off against the Penguins in what many would hope is a Stanley Cup preview.

The last time these two teams met Patrick Kane put on a show in front of the United Center crowd with his 2nd hat trick in 3 games. The real showtime for the contest wasn’t Kane though, but when Richard Panik made a great move in the center of the ice to get the go ahead goal.

The Chicago Blackhawks were in the midst of their hot stretch of games the last time these two teams played.  The Hawks really don’t have much left to play for and the last two games are evidence that they are playing without a sense of urgency.

The Penguins are close to the same situation.  They are pretty much locked into the #2 or #3 seed in the Metropolitan Division. They still have an outside shot to catch the Capitals, but like the Chicago Blackhawks, the Penguins know they don’t need home ice to win a Stanley Cup.

The Hawks will be looking to find a win after actually playing pretty good Monday night if you throw out a 6-8 minute stretch in the 2nd period.  It Should be a fun game in front of a National Audience.
