Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks lost last night to the LA Kings, but that doesn’t really matter because it’s on to the 2017 Stanley Cup playoffs!

If you have followed the Chicago Blackhawks for any amount of time in the month of April, you know that when the playoffs start it’s all about the number 16.

Sixteen as we all know is how many wins it takes to hoist the Stanley Cup in June.  The Stanley Cup playoffs is not a sprint, but a marathon and it all starts this coming week.

When Nashville lost to the Winnipeg Jets, it sealed the fate of both the Predators and Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of this year’s playoffs.

The last time these two teams faced off in the playoffs, Scott Darling became a playoff hero when he came in during the first period of Game #1 and held the fort down until Game #6 of the opening round when Corey Crawford settled back in for the rest of the playoffs.

This wasn’t supposed to be a Chicago Blackhawks Cup kind of year, but the kids grew up during the season, and know it’s time to see if they can win their 4th Stanley Cup since 2010.  Hopefully it’s a fun long road with 16 wins in the end!
