Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks got eliminated by the Nashville Predators a month ago, and last night the Predators advanced to their first ever Stanley Cup Final by beating the Anaheim Ducks 6-3.

There were a lot of experts that stated that whoever won the Chicago Blackhawks vs Nashville Predators first round series would be the team from the Western Conference to advance to the Stanley Cup Final.

Well, they were right with the Nashville Predators doing their best LA Kings impersonation by dominating the Western Conference from the 8th seed.

One thing is for sure is that the play of Pekka Rinne is the reason that the Preds are making their first appearance ever in the Stanley Cup Final.  Rinne had played poorly for stretches in the past two season, but he’s been great in this year’s playoff run.

Of course the biggest story for Canadians is that P.K. Subban is in the Stanley Cup Final and Shea Weber and the Montreal Canadiens have been sitting at home.  I’m pretty sure that most fans are rooting for Subban more than the Preds.

Either way, Congrats to the Preds on making it to the Stanley Cup Final.
