Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Happy Father’s day to all the Dads out there! Hope you have a great day cooking out and having a blast!

First off I would like to say Happy Father’s Day to my Dad this morning! Thanks for taking me to all those games when I was a kid even if they were at Old Comiskey Park.  To be honest, I miss Old Comiskey it had a lot of character, and you could see Harry Caray sing Take Me Out To the Ballgame.

Of course my Dad also took us to Chicago Blackhawks games back in the 80’s when it was a totally different era.  The game that sticks out the most for me is when he picked up Opening Night tickets to the 1986 opener at the old Chicago Stadium.

I could go look back and see what the score was that night, but all I remember was how many fights were in the stands that night.  Of course it was probably 4 or 5 but it felt like 20 or so that night.  It was great hearing the horn and the loud crowd, and being there with my Dad.

Sadly, this will be the first Father’s Day for me without my youngest son with us.  I miss him so much, and I can hear him yelling how trashy Addison Russell and all the Cubs are playing right now.  So Dad’s please cherish every bad tie you get as a present today or breakfast the kids make for you this morning! You never know when that will be the last hug you ever get!

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there, and here are some links to kick off your day.
