Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Blockbuster trades have happened and so has the draft, and now we just have free agency to pass us by before the long boring summer really smacks us in the face.

The Chicago Blackhawks haven’t played a game in over 2 months, and yet we still have over 3 months until opening night of the season finally arrives.

One thing is for sure, it will look like a new roster when the United Center gates do open on October 5th for the opening night matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

There are of course more questions left to be answered, like will Marcus Kruger get traded after his bonus kicks on this coming Friday?

What will the NHL rule that the Chicago Blackhawks be able to do with Marian Hossa‘s contract will be a huge deal come the trade deadline more likely than the beginning of the season.

Of course there is the roster questions on which youngsters will be filling out the lineup card for Coach Joel Quenneville this season! The bottom 6 is wide open for players to seize their opportunity with the Blackhawks.
