Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Free Agency Looms

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The one thing about the Marian Hossa LTIR situation is that the Hawks will not get any relief from that contract until after the second game of the 2017-2018 season. 

The Chicago Blackhawks and Stan Bowman still have work to do this offseason. If you look at things right now, it doesn’t look like Stan is done just yet with free agency looming.

The biggest question right now is will Marcus Kruger still be on the team when training camp arrives. The word on the street is that he still gets moved after his bonus kicks in on July 1st.

That is when all the fireworks would kick off I assume.  The thing is there are still rumors out there that the Hawks are looking to move Artem Anisimov.  The thing about AA (as he’s affectionately called on Twitter) is the fact that he’s a perfect center for Patrick Kane because he doesn’t need the puck to be effective.

With everything that has happened with the Hawks this past week I would like to keep Kruger if it’s possible because he does so many little things for Joel Quenneville.

The next wave of rumors are about to hit with free agency right around the corner! Hold on to your britches!
