Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Hope you enjoy your day off of work unless you’re in retail like me! Anyways Happy Birthday America!

So, who’s going to go see fireworks tonight? Is there not a better tradition than cooking out and then seeing fireworks on the 4th of July?

Well if you are looking at the Chicago Blackhawks, there is tradition that is tough to swallow with our favorite team, and that’s watching fan favorites leaving the team due to the salary cap.

Or the way Stan Bowman talked about things after the first round embarrassing loss to the Nashville Predators in  the Stanley Cup playoffs, the Hawks GM was making changes because he was upset how the team performed or underperformed as you will.

Who knows who will be on the roster when opening night kicks off in October, but one thing is for sure only Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, and Brent Seabrook will be able to say they were here from the start.

More from Blackhawks News

The salary cap is a terrible thing in sports, it’s a shame that owners couldn’t control themselves ever.
