Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! As the summer starts getting hotter and the news keeps getting less and less out of Hawks camp. It was nice to get the news yesterday morning about this years 2017 Chicago Blackhawks prospect camp roster.

I kind of touched on this yesterday morning when I spoke about the Rockford IceHogs being back, but it’s been a while since we have been excited about the IceHogs and well prospect camp.

The Chicago Blackhawks announced their prospect camp roster yesterday with not many surprises, but here is a look if you missed it.

Let’s be honest, the player I will be watching the most is Alex DeBrincat, and to see whether or not he belongs with the rest of the Chicago Blackhawks this season or is he just your normal 19 year old prospect that needs a year in Rockford.

More from Blackhawks News

The disappointing news was that Alexandre Fortin is on the roster, but he had offseason surgery and will not be fully participating this summer.

All but one of this years Chicago Blackhawks draft picks will be at prospect camp so we will get first look at a bunch of players that we have never really seen skate before!

I’ve always been about youth and speed and fresh legs so seeing the prospects that are actual prospects unlike the past couple years will be a fun sight to see this year!
