Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- DeBrincat Blues

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks prospect camp is in full swing, and already there are people hating on Alex DeBrincat. 

I’ll be the first to tell you, if a guy isn’t ready then he needs to be playing in Rockford. The funny thing is how many people don’t believe in the Chicago Blackhawks prospect.

They say he’s too slow, and they say he doesn’t work on his game, and they will say he isn’t interested in drills.  All of this can be true.  The funny thing is how many people think he’s a bust already because of this video.

I’m not sure if the Teuvo Teravainen era has caused Blackhawks to doubt prospects or if it’s just the fact that DeBrincat is on the small size.  Now because of one drill people think he will play next year in Rockford and maybe turn out to be the next Mark McNeill.

My thing is, you don’t score over 50 goals in 3 straight seasons including 0ver 60 last year if you don’t know how to be a sniper and get to the scoring areas no matter how big the defense is you are playing against.

Some players are practice players and some are just gamers.  I’d rather have a gamer any day of the week! This of course is the best sound bite ever about practice!
