Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks may have been eliminated in the first round the past two playoff seasons, but they are still National TV darlings of NBC and NBCSN.

The Chicago Blackhawks have appeared to have leapfrogged the Pittsburgh Penguins as the most despised team in the NHL.

The reason I feel like the Chicago Blackhawks are becoming more despised besides how much bitterness we get on our Twitter feed especially from the city of Nashville, is just how many times the Hawks do get the big time national tv spots.

Too much of anything is a bad thing even if it’s ice cream and pizza (although I really don’t think you can ever have too much pizza) and the Hawks are on a lot.

The best part for me living out of market means more games on TV that I don’t have to stream each night.

More from Blackhawks News

The Hawks will be on National TV 17 times which is the most in the NHL, and one would have to think that Bill Wirtz wouldn’t believe what is happening nationally and locally with the TV Ratings with all home games televised for years now.

I will say that last year was a prime example of a misstep by the big wigs by not having the Edmonton Oilers on more nationally. They were an exciting goal scoring team, but they only were on nationally twice.

The Hawks face the Blues 3 times and the Predators twice on national TV so it will be a fun season in the Central Division.
