The Chicago Blackhawks have won two games in a row, and the offense including the powerplay look to be turning the corner.  The thing is the Chicago Blackhawks still look slow against some teams which is why it’s time for the franchise to call up Vinnie Hinostroza from Rockford.

The Rockford IceHogs leading scorer right now should be on the Chicago Blackhawks roster if you ask me.  Hinostroza has scored 8 goals and added 9 assists in 17 games in Rockford.  He made a couple of nifty plays last night that showed up on people’s radar!

Of course, Vinnie has had his shot in Chicago before, but some players aren’t superstars the first time they take to the NHL ice.  The thing about Hinostroza is that he has speed that is disruptive.  That speed even if it isn’t successful in scoring goals right away changes possession and shot totals for the Chicago Blackhawks.

I think it’s time to send Tanner Kero who appears to be in the Joel Quenneville doghouse anyways or Jordan Oesterle down to Rockford and call up Hinostroza.  Kero is an ok player, but Tommy Wingels looks to have won that 4th line center position which also is a penalty kill player.  Oesterle barely gets into any games having only suited up for 4 out of the first 20 for the Blackhawks.  Carrying 8 defenseman is silly if you ask me, and it always leads to someone not playing enough.

The player that really needs to sit if Hinostroza is called up is Patrick Sharp.  He’s scored 2 goals and 2 assists and has a -9 in 20 games so far this season.  This of course is the normal kind of stat package a retread player normally has when they return home for the Chicago Blackhawks. Sharp time here in Chicago was fantastic, but he’s not the same player as Father time has caught up with him.  Sure he can be a nice depth player, but he doesn’t need to be in the lineup for 82 games this season.

It’s time to put a line of Hinostroza with Ryan Hartman and Alex DeBrincat together and let the kids use their speed and skill to help the Hawks win battles, possession and score some goals!
