Marian Hossa became only the 96th player in NHL history to tally 900 points in a career. He is now currently tied with former Chicago Blackhawk Tony Amonte on the all-time list.  He got to the 900 point plateau in 970 career games.  Hossa’s career totals are  417 goals and 483 assists.

177 of his 900 points have come in the Blackhawks jersey.  He has 29 goals and 44 assists this season.  He has been key to the current Hawks hot streak going 8-1-1.  He’s had one 100 point season in 2006-2007 while playing for the Atlanta Thrashers with 43 goals and 57 assists that season.

One hall of famer is soon to be passed by Hossa on the all-time points lists.  Bobby Orr had 915 career points. One of the amazing stats for all the points that Hossa has collected in his career, is that he is a career Plus/minus of 167 with only one full season that he’s played in, that he finished with a minus total.

Stan Mikita is the Blackhawks all-time career points leader with 1467 points with 541 goals and 926 assists.

Congrats to Hossa and hears to many more points in the final 8 games and hopefully a  long playoff run!! Oh by the way, a few points tonight against the Vancouver Canucks would be helpful too!!

Lets go Hawks!!
