The left wing position like the center position has a Blackhawk in the top 10 but also has no other Blackhawk in the top 40 fantasy right wings for the 2012 season as rated by NHL.com.
Patrick Sharp is ranked 5th in their rankings at left wing, which makes the Hawks on all forward lines having 4 in the top 10 but no secondary players arriving in the top 40. I guess it pretty much states the obvious that the Hawks scoring is carried by its star power. The one player that is not on any list that could and hopefully will be on the lists come this time next year is Brandon Saad.
Another Pittsburgh Penguin heads the list at the left wing position in James Neal. The Penguins are fantasy superstars in these rankings. Sharp the prototypical sniper has been very consistent the past three seasons collecting 30ish goals with 60-70 points. Sharp can be streaky which can be a downgrade in fantasy.
What do you think? Are the Hawks getting their due or are they getting disrespected in these rankings? Up next will be defenseman and it will be interesting where Duncan Keith ends up!
