Three days of negotiations must have been exhausting especially since they never really got to the one topic that is causing this mess.  After a three day weekend of negotiations both sides agreed to take a break and regather themselves.  They apparently didn’t leave the table fighting, but they didn’t schedule a date for more negotiations either.

I guess it’s a good sign that both the owners and NHLPA were able to play nicely for three days and mostly agree on non economical issues. This lockout isn’t based on non economical issues so even though they agreed on issues this weekend, its the economical issues have to get discussed and agreed upon for this stupid lockout to end.

Gary Bettman and Donald Fehr meet secretly behind closed doors Friday and Saturday, but they didn’t re engage their conversation on Sunday. Maybe they had to watch football and see if their fantasy football teams won?!?  Find the compromising number on both sides, get to the table and get a deal done.

Let’s be honest Donald Fehr doesn’t care about the fans, and will not blink an eye if another sports league misses games.  October 11th and opening night is right around the corner but if they don’t get back to the table quickly games will be cancelled and the fans lose out!  Here is a link to the negotiation video by

I’m sure everyone is sick and tired of reading about negotiations and percentages. We all want to see our favorite players on the ice now! Pre-season has been cancelled, but any more games missed will be a disgrace to the NHL! Compromise on both sides is needed and needed soon!
