The NHL and NHLPA met again and guess what….. nothing new to report with no noticeable progress to announce.  Bill Day seems to be the only one on either side of the CBA dispute that has any emotions connected to this negotiations.  He seems to want the Union to send them an offer to get this CBA thing going, but there sure doesn’t seems to be any sense of urgency from Donald Fehr and the NHLPA.

Sadly,  it looks like it’s going to be AHL or KHL reports from our site if you want to read about real hockey.  The young Blackhawks will be on display against the Chicago Wolves all weekend so it will be exciting to see the progress of the young Hawks and even the Hawks that have played in the big leagues like Dylan Olsen.  Say what you will about Stan Bowman and his inability to pull the trigger on a big time trade to help the Hawks short term, but he seems to have really started to build the foundation of talent throughout the organization at every level  which hopefully will be able to stand the test of time if NHL hockey every resumes!

Bettman, Fehr, and Daly need to get their CBA act together sooner than later.  Nobody is taking sides to this CBA issue and the fan’s patience which is wearing thin already, is about to get ultra thin and very angry real soon.  The AHL can hide the thirst, but to quench the thirst for real hockey the NHL needs to open it’s door and open them very very soon!!!
