Another nail in the coffin for the 2012-2013 season was hammered in with the announcement of the cancellation of the winter classic. Besides the Stanley Cup playoffs the one event that most non hockey fans will watch and hockey fans look forward to is the Winter Classic. Seeing the Hawks a year before they won the Cup playing at Wrigley Field was about as cool as it’s going to get.
Welcome to the Fehr Dynasty and all things must go. I’m pretty sure that guy has never been to a sporting event or ever been a fan of any team, if so he would not have shut down baseball for an entire post season, and he wouldn’t be well on his way of doing the same to the NHL when it was showing a great rebirth after surviving the last lockout less than a decade ago.
Today there is a secret meeting between the NHL and Donald Fehr……….Wake us up when they get anything accomplished!
A sport that was growing especially with a younger demographic and you decide to kill it over stupid percentages!! You all are not businessmen you are grim reapers!! Congrats on killing a sport!!
END THE LOCKOUT!!!
