On this date in Chicago Blackhawks history,

On November 25, 2009 the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the San Jose Sharks 7-2 in San Jose.  The game is memorable because it was the much anticipated debut of Marian Hossa after signing a huge 12 year 60 million free agent contract, and it was a great debut with Hossa tallying  2 goals the first time out wearing a Blackhawks sweater.

The win extended the Hawks winning streak to 8 games and it was a great appetizer for Thanksgiving the next day.  The Hawks also scored three short-handed goals in the blowout.

In the three seasons with the Hawks, Hossa has collected 78 goals 107 assists and one huge Stanley Cup.  One of the few benefits of the lockout has been the extended time for Hossa to full recover from his injuries suffered during the playoffs from Raffi Torres.

A big win against a rival and a great debut by a new Hawk makes this a date to remember!
