What Would Today Be Like…

What would today be like if there wasn’t a lockout?
First some things wouldn’t change. The vast majority of people that read this column are Chicago Bears fans, so everyone would be getting excited about the Bears trip to Minnesota and to root for them over coming last weeks bitter defeat to the Seattle Seahawks.
But secondly, we would be getting everyone ready for the big divisional game for the Chicago Blackhawks versus the St Louis Blues. No mentions of Toews, Kane, and Hossa or which Hawks could be the sleeper pick to help lead the Hawks to victory like Marcus Kruger.
Nope we are stuck in the middle of a lockout with the only thing showing next to each game in CANC. When friends that don’t watch hockey asked me in the summer what would happen to hockey I said then the same as I say now, if Donald Fehr is in charge the season will always be in doubt.
Yes, it’s fun to read what the young Hawks are doing in Rockford, but it will never be able to replace what is not happening on the United Center Ice today, tomorrow, and the next day.
I want to be telling the story of games being played not cancellations! If you want to read about cancellations go to the airport big board Fehr and Bettman! We want to watch our teams play their division foes!
Get this over with already! Don’t blow off another season!
END THE LOCKOUT!!
