I’ve learned two things this past week as I have relocated with my day job from Orlando to Knoxville.

1. Wifi is a huge deal in 2012

2. Hockey leadership is the dumbest of all the leadership groups in all of sports!

Yes, the first thing is a lot bigger than you think since most people take their Internet for granted and when it’s gone you’re stuck with no Internet or being that guy with his laptop in your local Starbucks.

Secondly, the hockey thing is baffling.  All the NHL is doing is ruining and wasting it’s product with only pictures of players and leaderships in suits.  I want to see my favorite Blackhawks players like Toews, Kane, and Hossa on the ice wearing the best uniform in all of sports.  I want Chelsea Dagger blaring and Pat Foley yelling he scores multiple times a night.  I warned everyone that Fehr would shut this down.  And by all accounts he’s well on his way.

You can wait for the cable guy within 2 minutes of his window to get your cable/internet package installed after a week off the grid, but you just can’t order a new CBA and wait for Donald Fehr and Gary Bettman to show up 2 minutes before their installation window closes!!

End the Lockout!
